Side Chakras
In order to embody your spiritual gift, you have two chakras on either side of you to work with. If your gift is the sofa, they are your armchairs. You like to relax in them sometimes. You will tend to know the territory of these spiritual gifts better than any of the others. These chakras help you define and engage your gift in the world, be more flexible with it, and reach more people with more techniques. They are the colors you “shade” with. However, the more you develop as a person, the more insights into all of the chakras you’ll receive, and the more you’ll be able to use the functions of all the gifts, still retaining your dominant master chakra.
How Do the Side Chakras Affect the Colors?
Reds need the orange on one side of them to be able to promote their ideas for their business and gain business contacts and colleagues. Having orange on one side keeps reds from getting too serious. They can be spontaneous instead of always grounding into their plan. Violet, on the other side of red, lets reds be gentle with others when needed and bring compassion to their leadership; it reminds them not to get overbearing in their leadership style.
Oranges can use their red side to stay focused and grounded, which is something orange by itself has trouble doing. Oranges use the research abilities and truth-seeking skills of the yellow chakra on their right to help them set up their lives and make decisions. Having red and yellow on either side of orange provides orange with enough analysis to be independent but the strength to remain in the flow of action. They work as stabilizing forces for orange, and in addition, let them “see” the fun that is coming up in the future. Yellow gives information about the big picture (red) that orange wants to enjoy!
Yellows have a tendency to stay in their heads, but their orange side reminds them to be social and lets them interact with others in a smooth and rewarding way. They become eager to share their information. Green on the other side allows them to actually go and fix some of the problems they work all day solving.
Greens need yellow in order to see what needs to be fixed in the first place. The yellow gift helps them be more observant, since yellows are the strongest at noticing details in the environment. Being able to see the “pathways” of truth also gives greens a reason to proceed with their healing and mending work. It allows them to test a solution they have in mind to see if it is right. Blue gives greens wisdom for what to do with the mystical knowledge they receive from the divine, which helps them apply practical solutions. Yellow keeps them balanced in the truth of these solutions, for any “fix” must be strong and well-founded in order to count for a green.
Blues benefit from being able to organize their knowledge, which green on one side gives them the choice of doing.
